It looks like the chassis has bent at the point circled red as the engine should pivot in the other plane to tension the belts shouldn't it Pete?

Both pulleys are solid (no play) no play in the hinges either. Cradle looks quite straight forward. Base plate and 4 engine mounting plates are straight

I'm pretty sure that the hinges on the cradle are goosed. Engine shaft looks good - either cradle bent or wear in hinges or pins.

Sorry, just read your last. If you are sure cradle and hinges are good then it is likely that rear has sagged which is worse!

if it had sagged I’d be able to spot it when I took off the covers I guess? Did notice an old repair job, could have been like that since we got it but didn’t effect it with the old belts.

If their is no visible signs of bearing failure at the top pulley, I would check all the fabrications along the chassis rail and the chip chamber mounting to that. It would never have left the factory with those misaligned belt pulleys. You need to get some bandage on your flexible exhaust section too.
