Found this one afternoon when we went for a climb - pic don't really do it any justice. It was huge but couldn't get it all in pic as couldn't get far enough away. It is growing out of crack in the rocks and doesn't touch the ground anywhere visible

In the first pic of the beech/wall and then the later pic of the Elm/wall, I think the walls have been built up to the tree years ago and the tree has grown and engulfed the "ends" of the walls, as apposed to actually growing over a complete wall which would not be possible IMO.

Nice pic SBTC. When it comes to trees growing out of walls, I don't think you can beat the Ankorian temple complexes in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Heres six of the best that I took in Feb.08

Slightly off topic, but has anyone got a photo of the living tree bridge in Cambodia. It was on 'How The Earth Made Us' (BBC 2 last week). I can't find a pictures but it was awesome, certainly worth putting on here.
