Hi, does anyone know the serial numbers/make for the rotor/flywheel and bottom roller bearings please? Been quoted about a grand from a dealer... cheers

Haha! The old "Special Jensen Bearings" I fell for that one 10 years ago.

Why not pull the Rotor out and match the bearings then? They are common as fook bearings, the motor side are SNR and the infeed side SKF. If you pull them off you will likely bugger the bearing house so factor that in too.

Did mine in January, remember to set your blade to anvil gap with a new never sharpened set of blades...

Cheers, I’m just trying to keep down time to a minimum, was hoping to order the bearings and drop it all off to local ag place...

Just for parts emoji30.png, they reckoned would be about 1800 fitted...(including hyd filter and oil change)

F me! What a rip off. If it's like the 530 which I suspect it is they are pillow block bearing a so maybe -50.00 each... Then the roller bearing be one in a cast triangle casing so maybe 35-40.00 and not sure on the other side..

If it cost more than 200.00 in parts I'd be miffed

Can you pm me the dealer who you've been in touch with please. I've been looking at moving from timberwolf back to Jensen on my road tow depends if their dealers are still in lala land lol

Cheers

Taunton

We are based in Wiltshire.

If you can bring it up to us, or I can probably meet you have way we’ll get the bearings matched up, flywheel taken out correctly and refitted / setup correctly.

Our labour rate is £45 per hour plus vat and a flywheel out / in plus feed roller bearing(s) is probably a days work.

We are a GreenMech chipper dealer and work on chippers all day everyday so you’ll get more knowledge than taking it to an “Ag” dealer.

Not talking them down in anyway, but i guess it’s similar to bringing your 150hp tractor in to us for repair. Yes we can do it, but we don’t specialise in that area.
