If you mean the scar below your spiked feet, i dont think thats justification for such a harsh spec.

 

I thought you was talking about the scar half way up the stem from an older limb/stem loss?

 

Dont cry over it? i wasnt really about to, you say what the TO says goes, but did the TO climb it to look at that "cavity" and judging by your response you imply you knew it was over cautious, so why didnt you broach the subject?

 

Dont take this as negative critisicm, I am just curious about the why.

I agree with Hama, we go by TO specs as guidance not an absolute if we get up there and feel the spec has changed upon closer inspection then we do so and inform the TO of our decision, its a stratergy that has worked well for our relationship with local TO,s.

Was that you climbing, the climbing looked good even if the spec maybe was not, and i agree that looks a nice truck :001_cool:

What has the climber got strapped to the front of the helmet, is it some form of force field that projects down over the face to guard against sawdust :sneaky2:

 

 

 

 

It's a shame to see such a majestic tree felled.

 

Hope someone replaces it.
