Husqvarna battery strimmer/brushcutter 520iRX

Has anyone got the bigger Husqvarna battery strimmer? 520iRX

 

What's it like, is it any good for tougher stuff or is it more for edging?

 

What size of petrol machine would it compare to?

Suppose you need to know the power output in Kw of the electric motor to compare it too petrol annoying they don't advertize that in the spec probably because its fairly low under 1kw?

The 20 in 520 means the machine has the power of a 20cc petrol machine, or there abouts.

I'd looked on your site previously, does the Husqvarna pages need updating, different model numbers from the catalogue?

Makes it sounds rubbish 20cc

 

If the numbering system is correct the chainsaw  535i must have  a considerably better motor with more power?

Sorry no, only used the battery chainsaws.

 

Our site really needs updating in regards to the battery equipment, unfortunately Husqvarna thinks that it is a good idea to keep changing model and part numbers on a yearly basis to confuse and annoy not only dealers but end users too!

 

E.g, the top handle T535i XP is exactly the same as last years model the T536LiXP.

Its really hard to find any info on  power output of battery tools but any maker making it hard/impossible to compare them with petrol versions.

Dunno what they're saying, but I assume they're trying to show the battery motor (on the left) has more torque than the 25cc 2 stroke

I've got the previous incarnation 536LiRX & would use it in preference to a petrol machine any day. Keeps down weeds around the paddocks, mainly with the metal blade, deals with nettles, bracken, brambles etc just as well as my old noisy smelly 2t. Obviously not got the power of a larger petrol machine but benefits of low vibration, noise, fumes & running costs are a big plus for me.  All depends what you want it for.

What battery model  did you get with & how long does it last?

 

Trying to find info online the Kw of the motor of the husky  but cannot.

 

The makita  cordless model  DUX60Z (combi power head)  is 600w output.
