rent for yard, electricity, down time for breakdowns(it will happen), wages, vehicles for delivery, cost of timber, bags, fuel, yard machines, advertising, bank charges, accountant fees, admin,etc. do i need to go on. calculators can make things seem very simple, and this is saying you will getr paid on time from your customers, so you will then have an overdraft facility to pay for, and lets not forget all the costs in putting a business plan together for getting the 50k in the first place:001_smile:

Apparantly cedar makes excellent kindling. If you could get a lorry load of it then the fuelwood factory can do kindling too I think.

 

 

Cedar makes great kindling & brill fire wood too. When using it as firewood you dont need any kindling as it lights so easy.

 

If its cut & split it will dry to less than 20% in less than 6 months.

£50 K.........says it all really. An unfortunate end to an interesting thread!

 

£42,500+ vat and they have sold 2.........1 n anglia and 1 in ireland...... there are grants for these.....a lot of hoop jumping, as swb says u need a good yard and a large customer base.......does any1 on arbtalk sell over 1000 builders bags of firewood/kindling, perhaps u need to do a bit of contracting with it or hire
