Chestnuts roasting on a ... Stove!!

Just tried this. Seemed to work a treat.

 

Empty tin (baked bean type) with a handful of chestnuts in it with tin foil on nice and snug. Just stick a sharp knife through each nut a couple of times. And then sit it on the stove for about 20-30 mins should be enough.

 

Apparently, if you leave one unspiked, it will let you know when the others are ready when it pops but I can't be bothered with the mess. Just spike em and a half hour Ish will do.

Sainsburys I'm afraid. The wife chucked em in and I thought it was silly but glad she did.

Chucked about 7 or 8 in and they were great. Then had dinner. Then had a few more. So easy.
