Can you recommend some new gaffs to me to save me going in and trying loads ? I really needed some and the end of last year but didn’t get around to it. My old komets are shot now and parts are hard to get. I fix an arbpro quick step plate to the shaft also. If you can recommend any that device works well with I’d appreciate it.

cheers Gaz.

Good luck! I tried to replace my old kleins several times, went back to them and bought new pads and straps in the end, couldnt get used to geckos or Stein x2 or they treehog ones. Had to sell them in the end.

I'm sure with enough perseverance you could get used to other style of spikes but I couldnt be bothered really. Hopefully you can find some close to whatever type the komets are, shank and spike wise. Which ones are you climbing atm?

I think you can get recommendations but in the end have to try them on, I've read a lot of people hate Stein X2 but I find them really comfortable, much more than Kleins and bashlins I've worn on training courses. I'm 6 foot 7 though, so I reckon it depends on your legs.

These are the Miller Komets. Had them for a few years. Well made but hard to get spares. And heavy compared to new stuff.

You don’t need to climb mate ! That’s a big lad.
