Always liked the geckos , they just seem to fit right and never give me discomfort and enjoyed climbing in them ... I’ve climbed in most spikes and got on fine but found a few painful, another reason behind that though is the spikes should be adjusted if applicable to the individual user.
I used a co workers pair of Bashins a few weeks back that gave me blisters they where that badly adjusted to my legs !

Think the old kliens are like those old school gym shoes...they are great for dexterity, you get a real nice feeling of knowing exactly where your spikes are in a spar but are hard in your feet so you want the air max’s like the carbon geckos because they give a bit more comfort whilst loosing some dexterity... I’m talking bollocks again :) ! I like the carbon geckos but they do feel a little numb the ally ones are a good compromise don’t think you will regret the choice gaz .
