Willow pests

Any idea what sort of animal / bird would do this to SRC willow?

The bark is pulled off in long strips,but doesn’t seem to be eaten.

The grounds solid at the moment, so no prints,I’ve never seen deer on here before, but who knows. Thanks for the suggestion.

Looks very much like muntjac damage,they are doing the same sort of thing at the minute to young limes where i been working
