burl/burr

I felled some Sweet Chestnut at the weekend with some large burl/burr on them 36" x 24" x 16"

Is it best to try and sell the whole thing or slice it into 1.5" - 2" thick slabs for table tops.

This is one of the smaller ones

Yes I'll be selling them but not until I've finished moving trunks out of woodland, need to get that done before nesting season starts and with the warm weather arriving that's likely to be earlier then expected.

Got no idea, probably do what I normally do, think of a figure and half it!

One of the two burls I'm removing.

Had to use a 4' bar and on the second burl I had to go in from both sides.

Wow that’s one big burr must be heavy , Cool as wish it was mine, looking forward to seeing what it looks like inside

It was, nearly killed me loading it.
