Just got hilux a couple of weeks ago, ticking on acceleration at certain points. Seems to be very common, but also doesn’t seem to result in any further issues.
Annoying all the same.

They are quite noisey on injectors in general, but if you feel it is abnormally loud then it could be in need of a new (or more than one injector) injector seats can fail too, allowing combustion pressures to leak causing the sound when engine is under load, i.e acceleration.

Aye this is the kind of stuff I’ve been coming across@Ratman , truck performs really well, I believe in America they call it the “ Tacoma tick”.
