Seriously fast splitters on the right stuff - we used to crane feed the one on the Estate on huge rings to save handling - just had to be careful when carane loading as the tips are quite delicate :blushing:

Have to have wits about you on a cold day when splitting smaller stuff - it don't half smart when it snatches the log and spins it!

Great pics as always

you crane fed one? how well did that work? did you have a larger "table" fabricated, because ours has been made bigger than standard

Yeah it doesnt half hurt when a small bits smacks you on the knuckles

Was a dead old one - had been welded up/chopped up elded back up - I'm guessing it maybe had been made bigger (though it was at ground level so maybe not huge.

Worked quite well but you had to pick the disc up by the edges and gently shove it with the crane rather than swing it on else you could snap a tip easy.

love the set up you have. did you modify the hiab to work on the 3 point linkage?

I am after one to put on the back of the mog but a three point one would be bloody ace!

Yeah its pretty ace :)

Nah I wish it was on the 3 point linkage but its welded straight onto the tractor hahaa, we bought it with the hiab on, it was owned by a guy who did a lot of landrover repairs and he used it to lift engines out and stuff like that, we just piped the grab and rotator and then fitted the hycrack :)

Works well though imo :D
