dean is your blue lower carabiner connected straight on to your harness

 

It is on that picture but I carry a 600mm tape sling to put inbetween to send the lockjack away from me for hand over hand ascending and also upgraded it to the swivel eye :thumbup1:

i do use the splice 9 times out of ten just not this time doesnt bother me to be honest

 

 

ive seen those before cheers Gimmer my mates got them, thanks for the heads up though.

it would look much better terminated with a spliced eye instead of blake and stopper knot

When i used one in my last job an adjustable bridge was the in thing[/QU

did your second line move nice through the lock jack ?as the diameter of the steel ring is quite small?

Get some stuff thats easier to splice Bob, I've heard it's a right bitch, but there again, another person told me they could do it with one hand tied behind their back :lol:

It more about tidying up clutter, look at all that bulk you'd be getting rid of just by using a spliced eye.

 

Knots and stoppers get in the way
