I try and work out at 250 no vat per person so 2 man £500 and three man £750 per day sometimes I look at the job and think I cant charge as much and other times and look at a job which can be done but is wourth more than 750.

There's a larger AA approved firm near me that charges £300 inc vat per person per day and they go out as 3 man teams and each team needs to earn £900 and the team leader main climber only gets paid £80.

Excellent stuff if you can get those prices:thumbup1:

Just wouldnt work here on a daily basis. None would pay me £500+ to spend a day in there garden no matter what the job. Ok well maybe no matter but you get the jist.

i felt sorry for that guy on that occassion.....he was no rogue. didnt have a clue about tree work, but he was no rogue...just an old fella trying to earn a living.

Cant agree on that though mate.

He was doing a job and charging a customer about a job he knew nothing about.

Not an excuse in my book that he was just old and trying to make some money.

But what about the letter he served the woman comdemming the tree, that was out of order!

In the end didnt they all have a chat and the younger one said he would look in to getting more training?

stitch up springs to mind here, he did enventually fess that he didn't know what sort of tree it was and he did have a collins field guide in the cab of the van which if the truth be known not many people have that kicking around their wagon do they?

However the H&S of that mob was disgraceful.
