I've been told i'm anemic, What's the best way to get iron into your body?

 

Supplements or food?

Thank you everyone for the advice I will try all those things apart from Guinness as I tried that once before and it made me do black jobbies which was a bit unsettling.

 

I was also told today that to get the best out of spinach you have to drink fresh orange juice as this helps the iron absorb into your body.

Dunno about that , but years ago folks used to put a pinch of bicarbonate of soda in the water when cooking cabbage/greens it kept the cabbage/greens nice and green , but the soda nutrelised all the vitamins..

Guinness, stout, broccoli, spinach, venison I believe, liver all good for iron, personally I wouldnt take supplements when you can get it all from your diet.
