what kind of hawk is that geoff?what a great sight to see and capture mate

 

i'd like to say its a goshawk or lanner falcon, but i think it may be a sparow hawk, i have seen them take pidgeons in our yard

Female Kestrel. Unusual to see it with such large prey, usually don't go for much bigger than a Starling.

 

Not to sure either, nice white stockings,mmmm,maybe essex bird dressed up for the kill! Shreck Im not too sure which bird of prey it is mate.
