Timberwolf TW 75/230

Hi everyone , I had a problem with my chipper last year and still have not got to the bottom of it .

The machine is a TW 75/230 2003 model with low hours .

the problem is it stops chipping after about 15 mins and it’s leaking hydraulic oil from the left side tank because the right side tank is somehow pumping its oil into it . This is then overflowing on the left side and I think this is what’s stopping the rollers because they work and it chips until the right side is below minimum then rollers don’t work.

I assumed left tank is for tracks and right side for the chipper ,  But must be connected in some way and maybe there’s a valve open that shouldn’t be . Am I on the right track ? ( pardon the pun)

cheers

neil

Ahh right , I did ring Timberwolf up a while back and the guy I spoke to didn’t seem to have any ideas other than to take it to my local TW dealer who was in Warrington I think ?. Which is 150 miles from me .

I’d rather fix it myself . I’m a car and marine mechanic so it wouldn’t be a problem.

Just not that up on diagnosing hydraulic systems

I would take it to an agricultural engineer who understands hydraulics.

I know a bit about hydraulics . I’ve worked on diggers for years . Just needed to know where things are on this machine , I’m guessing there’s a non return valve that’s stuck open somewhere allowing the oil to flow to the other tank. Fitting any parts wouldn’t be a problem , don’t fancy taking it somewhere and paying a fortune for parts I don’t need lol
