Its also an old maori war fort-a pa site. all the terraces you can see were formed as defensive battlements and or living areas, and i really shouldnt of driven the truck on. If your getting paid to take your time whats the issue with taking your time? and id rather spend an hour easily lowering some stuff down rather than dragging up the bank. The council has the budget for us to work that way so why not?

But the real story is the bloke sitting there for 4 days and protesting i feel.

I'm in no way critising you drew, just like to see value for money on our hard earned taxes, if I'm good enough to give up my hard earned cash I would like to see it used wisely.

 

When a tree can be felled, it should be, the tax payers purse isn't a bottomless pit.

I'm sure most LA workers gasp in disbelief at some of the money wasting things the PC brigade ask them to do and I'm sure things they get asked to do by the non pc brigade.

 

The "Geek" should have had a slap round the back of the head and told to get qualifications before he starts making decisions on whether or not a tree is deemed "dangerous"

This thread is a crack up.Its so much like being a Council Arborist.Political trees and policies.People with issues,agendas and a history of wrangles with the Councils.

I thought that (taking all the issues into account) you handled it very well.

Just wondering here Drew.Was the tree unsafe?

the tree was sweet but the stem we removed had a big crack that was pretty new so was justified in removal.
