hi just fitted the new solinoid which seems to have cured the idle and stalling problems but i now have a slight stutter under acceleration similar to running out of fuel. iam guessing i have done somthing whilst fitting the part any ideas what??

Is it a simple replace part job this fuel solenoid? and then it should be ok? No reset on computer etc?

My local dealer had the saw in for 5-6weeks last time..... then its still not right. They say they've not heard about the solenoids and said better to buy a battery saw lol Great advice ey?

Left saw i bottom of box for now and bought another pre mtronic one as my main or spare depending which saw i take with me. Cant be doing with saws in for 5-6 weeks at a time!

Have you reset it according to the owners manual? Not had to on the ones I have done but.......there you go!

i did have a look at the manual and it said do 5 even cuts etc so i will try that, prior to that i had buried it into a pile of chunky timber and it seemed ok so i think ill take my time and see how runs before poking around further.

thanks for your help. carl

the fuel solenoid was easy enough to replace, would need an air compressor and a clean space, it was a bit fiddly and id recomend taking a photo of which way round the electric plug goes on.

if mine starts to run 100% then id say easy job, if it continues to play up then id say be carefull ;)

although anything is better than a climbing saw that keeps stalling imo!!!
