Steve, when you say per cube do you mean a loose cube or do you mean stacked solid cube,i was going to start using those bulk builders bags with the logs just thrown in loose which i believe would equate about 0.6 of a cube if you stacked it.I've never done much fire wood as i never seem to have time but my yard is getting overwhelmed so i need to start getting shut, regards Dave.

loose...if you want to play it safe you're best telling the customer 3 cubic meters including air space

thanks for that Steve,i thought it would be loose, but wanted to be sure, this is a top site very informative and funny, many thanks Dave

hi got to find a market for a load of chestnut 3m cord and a stack of 3m seasoned firewood mixture of mainly ash oak, birch, hornbeam, and alder all got out to hard standing. chestnut is stacked separate to log wood had a guy offer £7 a ton for chestnut to go as chip and £14 a ton for log wood ? Do these prices seem fair as im out of touch what the going rates are? Price seems to cheap for log wood but could be wrong

am in south east uk east sussex thought it was way to cheap . As for the chestnut for chip i wouldnt have a clue but guess chip is probably the only real market for chestnut? now theres no pulp market and no 1 wants it for log wood as it spits and allready made fence materials out of what was any good
