That would have been ideal- but the hitch was so buried I couldn’t drop it off. The trailer has flotation tyres on which helps and generally goes across pretty boggy ground- the bit the tractor went down in was essentially a pond covered in spagnum moss!

He posted this very same pic on " Woodslap Twats " ( a Whats App thing we are on )  He seems to be fine generally but is feed up with not being able to get on with work due to the soft ground . This bears it out ! :D

You did well getting it out with your digger. That side of thing could have gone worse

It was on the newtake in between Prince Hall hotel and two bridges on the left hand side of the road. Muddilake it’s called. which is probably an appropriate name.

 

yes, the key Iv found is once it’s broken the surface on wet Peat don’t keep trying to get it out unaided as it quickly digs itself in deeper.
