Cedar (cedrus deodara) as firewood.

Took down a big cedar recently and we had to cut it up small to handball it out of the garden.

 

Because it’s easy to split at that size we’ve processed it and stored it in the barn.

 

Now I know that “any dry wood will burn etc....” but does anyone here have any experience of using this stuff in a burner? doesn’t seem too sappy, splits easy enough.

Yep, burnt a fair bit; no problems and it gives a nice heat.  Enjoy.

 

If you keep a log or two near the burner you can also have the pleasure of the scent as they warm up.

BTW Is your barn (hanger) supported by iced sponge cakes?  If not, you REALLY need to work on your render skills
