Which saw mill would you recommend , I have been recommended panther .

I’m looking to get my self an Alaskan mill for my Husqvarna 395 . I’ve been recommended  a Panther mill with a 42" lo pro bar which comes set up with a winch . It’s priced at 495:00 with vat . Can anyone recommend a mill that may be better than this ?

I've only used granberg so I can't compare but I would say the ratchet system for adjustment looks very handy on the panther. Rob D will be able to advise you how they compare If the build quality is good they certainly look decent.

I'm going to be biased on the Panther mill ;)seeing as was myself who helped guide the design... all I can say is the aim for the Panther mill is to be the best and most advanced chainsaw mill in the world. Not doubt this won't happen overnight - but that the the aim

 

Height adjustment is tool less and fast – in fact it is the fastest compared with any other mill on the market. Simply rotate the round handle to adjust how deep the mill will cut. No need to hold a spanner in one hand while trying to adjust the mill with the other.

Looking to buy a mill to suit my Stihl 660. Already have 30 and 36" Stihl bar with the saw.

 

I would welcome any advice on which is the very best mill to buy, which attachments and what chain is best.

 

Not forgetting where to buy.

Agreed - Panther 42 looks like the best option by far - however comes with different bar and chain than you suggested.
