Cheers mate, yeah I am well.

 

No not used the design before, just had a bit of a look on here and the Treehouse and decided to used the shrink wrap as I had some laid about and also some wire in the eye. seems ok so far but the proof will be in the friday afternoon test. (They always seem to get stuck on a friday afty!)

 

You making it to Capel mate?

Very interesting thread!

Last night I had the hare-brained idea to splice an eye into my *used* marlow climbing rope... BIG mistake!! 5 hours later I was in too much pain to pull the crossover out, blisters on blisters:cursing:

This morning I decided to pull the last couple of inches through. Im only using a piece of general gardening wire which I doubt I could stress too much, don't fancy snapping it and starting over!!

Ordered some piano wire off ebay so next time it'll be easier and i'll use new rope.

There is only about 3/4" left to do now so i'll stop moaning and go get it done:thumbup1:
