don't know if this has been covered before but..

 

just been looking on fleabay at saws.

 

one ad caught my eye. good looking stihl 300 series, c/w dealer sticker, etc obviously been looked after and i'm considering bidding....

 

two saws later and one looked very sus.

 

does anyone think we'd get anywhere trying to persuade ebay not to list equipment like ours unless the serial number was given. this would put alot of thieving scum off i'm sure

it would give thieves a serial number to copy onto a nocky saw

Ya got more chance of having a crap int queens handbag! you could say that about every car boot sale in the land, and to be honest more stolen stuff probably goes that way now rather than ebay, not saying ebay has no nicked gear, just that there is many more easier outlets available.
