Look at this evil litte tree

chorisia speciosa,theres a good 25 metre plus one in the local park,the thorns are enormous

Was awesome mate yeah, Between 30 and 35 degrees everyday, Had a chat with a bar owner and he said its not rained properly since 1997, Not sure if thats right but i had no reason not to believe him, The sea over there is amazingly clear, Went snorkelling twice, Ill put a few of the better pictures up tomorrow

I came across the same tree in the botanic gardens in Naples, so glad I dont ever have to shimmy up it!

Its not the spines that are the problem its the creepy feel to them. We called them cucomber trees cos if was just like spiking a cucomber.

 

Rigging off them was even worse as the tall ones bend like a fishing rod.

 

Ours were also in a city centre and over razor wire, lovely job.

Looks like a Kapok tree to me - saw loads in the Amazon rainforest

They have big red pods hanging from them - that burst and fire clouds of kapok out of them - its used for stuffing items
