What kind of splitters are out there in the £1500 - £2000 bracket? New or second hand if that would provide a much better machine. Thinking of dipping my toe into the firewood world.

I've actually borrowed the venom 22t to split a load for myself today. Real impressed with it, the 2017 model seems to have a built in table which would be really handy. I'll more than likely purchase one myself.

 

Need to source and split some stuff ready for next winter...

I'll look into the wallenstein. I imagine they might be slightly put my budget though?

split a load of pine rings which have been sat there the best part of a year, as well as some nice sycamore. Good to get it cleared up if anything!

 

Struggling with pricing, seems to be so much variation. I don't want to be a busy fool! But I do want to be busy....
