sip keiu jacket

I have the sip jacket , as said it’s hot for working in unless it’s sub zero . I prefer the cut and climb front Clark’s .

My overall opinion on this jacket is that the material is great (waterproof and highly durable). Unfortunately the Zips are absolute crud, even the little breast pocket zip went!.... every single zip on mine has gone and I haven't actually used it for much arborist work (just the odd day here and there).

 

When the main central zip went I resorted to using the poppers, but one of those broke within a matter of a week.

 

On the back of that I won't be buying another one.

 

Hope this helps others in their consideration of a waterproof and durable jacket.

Sounds like it!  Not had any zips go on mine ever.  Theres little to go wrong with it being a smock design

£80/£90 can’t go wrong. Goes through the wash well and stays waterproof. I’m looking for something a bit lighter for summer myself. Nice thing I found was the massive hood did fit over my kask lid.

Tried climbing in it a few times over winter, pretty uncomfortable.

Going Cut and Climb next I reckon [emoji1303]

I had the main zip replaced within a month with a larger tougher zip. The pit zips have jammed in the mesh. I've washed it once using Nikwax soap. Still waterproof.

I haven't washed mine once and it's still waterproof. The actual material of the jacket is brilliant.

Interesting to hear you've had the same problems. If they upgraded all of the zips then I'd buy it again.
