Having read what peoples opinions are on this jacket I am seriously considering getting one. A couple of questions before I do.

 

go to your local rock climbing store and pick a jacket that is made of the same material and just as durable for 20 quid.

 

I bought one made by moutain life..best jacket i have owned for work.

I thought they were really good at first. Really good close fitting and very tough. Still in good nick after about 1 year. But after a few washes (hand washes in cool/tepid water) they aren't that waterproof. But I got some spray on stuff, 'scotchguard' type stuff and emptied a can of that onto a jacket the other day and it was beading off today in the rain. Other untreated jacket was soaking through the outer layer. Will definitely be trying it again to see how well waterproofed I can get them.

Same with my chainsaw pants too. But I haven't tested them yet...

Hope you haven't washed it in the machine it needs to be washed by hand so it doesn't damage it.

 

Well that what i told the wife anyway:biggrin:
