I would think that would be better,
Only 1krpm difference between 084 and 880. Not sure how long the .325 chain will last with that much torque.
Very interested to hear what happens.
Full comp ripping chain I presume?

Will let you know. Think it's semi chisel actually.

I've just been cutting some wood with an 044 I put a new piston in. It's a bit big for a woodpile saw but it pulls like a train. Bit smaller than your 046 and I had to pay money for it and put a 20" War Tec bar and chain on it from eBay garden-hire-spares, it made me grin using it.

It will last forever the way I use them, I only cut for the woodburner but I like to tinker with saws. I've been down to a friendly farm cutting for the woodpile with my 135 this afternoon. A local arb firm dumps there and it needs thinning out every so often so it's doing all of us a favour

Just a quick update guys ive used the saw most of last week and don't want to put it down.it really does rip and found out its done about 10 hrs work from new its like using a new saw:thumbup:
