NEW NPTC assessment schedules

Just a heads up the new assessment schedules are on nptc website

as i understand it anyone registering before the 1st of jan can have either the old or the new assessment

After the first of jan i believe they will all be to the new assessment schedules

Some have changed quite a lot and some just a little bit

 

Chainsaw and Related Operations (QCF) November 2009

 

CS30 - Prepare and Maintain the Chainsaw

 

CS31 - Fell and Process Small Trees

 

CS32 - Fell and Process Trees Over 380mm

 

CS33 - Specialist Tree Felling

 

CS34 - Sever Individually Uprooted Trees

 

CS35 - Sever Multiple Windblown Trees Including Leaning Half Blown, Broken Trees and Hung Up Trees

 

CS38 - Climb Trees and Perform Aerial Rescue

 

CS39 - Use of a Chainsaw From a Rope and Harness

 

CS40 - Carry Out Pruning Operations

 

CS41 - Undertake Sectional Felling Operations

 

CS42 - Carry Out Stump Protection Using Stump Protection Fluids

 

CS43 - Fell Utility Poles

 

CS45 - Aboricultural Ground-Worker

 

CS46 - Re-pollard Trees at a Maximum Height of Five Metres

 

CS47 - Safe Use of a Chainsaw from Mobile Elevated Work Platforms

 

CS48 - Use of Powered Pole Pruners

 

CS50 - Techniques For Dealing With Damaged Trees

some interesting reading there Bob

 

Ie cs 30 1.2 must be held prior to cs31 assessment so long double day assessments then

 

Assessor must make kit check prior to use ! ........

 

Cs50 mmmm

 

not sure what you mean

you had to have all 30 to do 31 previously
