The council David. Pohuts are known to hold cliffs up for ages by putting huge amounts of support roots into the cliff but everyday i expect to see this one on the road after a storm.looks very dodgy but the council arbs are not at all bothered and just pretend they dont know about it! its funny like that here! its about 8m tall by the way.

fine Oak vet hanging on along a stream bank at Whitewebbs earlier from today.

I keep looking at this tree, such a powerful image to me, so much going on in this trees story, how can anyone fail to be in awe of such a thing?

 

I can hear the battle cry of the environment agencies crews already, "FELL IT" before it causes a jam.

Took these in the back garden! The heavy snowfall we had up here accounted for one of them coming away from the rock face others were collected by the first one falling... I need to get them cleared up before some damn trespasser has one fall on them and tries to sue :sneaky2:
