Looking for recommendations for a petrol post auger.

 

Seems to be a lot of new ones on ebay for £120 ish, anyone tried them?

Other than that can only find stihl ones which look pretty expensive for what they are

Bought one of the £120 ones a few weeks ago. Was useless on the job I bought it for as to be fair it was along a row of trees and old fencing we'd just taken out so jars when you hit something solid. Gonna be using it today on fresher soil so will let you know

I've decided it's pretty useless. Loads of power but no good against roots and old cement. Put all this in so far in last few days and it's been no good on any hole yet. We've been persevering with a manual auger and post hold digger and a metal bar to dislodge stones[ATTACH]222552[/ATTACH]
