yes that is probably my most in accurate post ever, and that is saying something, WARN i think, and that M must be upside down ha ha. what a tube:blushing::lol:

Ohdearrr

Good winches though

These people sell a wireless remote, not sure if it will fit yours. WARN winches are very poplar amoungst offroaders, so most 4x4 places should be able to point you in the right direction :thumbup1:

Nice work Dean. :thumbup1:

technical, ballsy or just luck ?,

Well assessed, planned and executed, I'd say.

The job went how you planned it and expected it to go, therefore no luck involved.

I wouldnt have left my saw in the back cut though! :001_tongue:

Sorry for the late reply Dean - Above and beyond that’s en excellent advertisement for the power of a quality winch (you should post that on a Landrover forum, or even send it to the winch manufacturer)

It must have saved you £££’s pulling it over in one like that, sometimes I’m too cautious, I would have taken 3 times as long swinging the limbs over into the field.

Years ago I felled a huge Oak that was weighted all one way over a bungalow with a Matador. It was in the days before digital cameras, but there were plenty of farmers taking pics, I’ll ask around and see if I can track a few down.

Nice job mate – I’m off to look at winches now!
