25k to store 500 cubic meters, plus handling equipment, ouch

 

I agree! - Looked at spud boxes, but: they hold irregular amount and our whole setup is based on multiples of m3, don't dry processed timber well, cost of adaption to hold 2m / change slatting to enable even drying and shorter lifespan, sort of made the decision for us.

 

As they say - too late to turn back now.:blushing:

Agreed. Tipping or drop bottom skips are really handy to have around the yard but way too pricey for logs.

 

Even trying to put together sockets (I was calling them sleeves) is expensive. Box section steel in the right size was £16 a metre.
