If they can afford the cheap option and then your expensive option they are not cheap skates they are mis informed or have a lack of knowledge in the tree game. It is up to you to justify the work you will carry out for the price you are asking.

 

By refusing to go back to tidy someone's mess up out of spite rather than for a good wage is only reaffirming why they didn't use you in the 1st place.

 

You may be hands down better at the job than the cowboys however the cowboys sales pitch is on the money, like previously stated they also charge top dollar in most instances.

I didn't not go back out of "spite" I didn't go back because I'm busy and booked up and this guy wanted done asap

 

Long story short.... soon as I give him a price he said "way to dear" so I explain why & broke it down for him 4 staff long drag truck chipper saws insurance green wast etc & he softened and I wouldn't say it was dear as the job it's self was a nice n easy

 

He said I'll have a word with the wife & get back to you.... next thing I hear from him I wants me to "pop" round to "just" take the green wast away as the jobs already been done

 

Basically the conifers has just been felled and diced up at the end of garden

 

So I really didn't fancy it tbh but not out of spite
