Try starting a ported 660 on spikes without using the sissy button.

 

Spud turning into a bender once he sent back my saw.

I like to have a running saw sent up joe,but i know what your sayin,nearly chucked a couple of saws due to non starting aloft.:001_smile:

Possibly engaged the chain brake which could be jammed between the clutch and drum. Pull the sprocket cover off, remove bar and chain and see how it pulls over. Best not to start it as the clutch could spin off but it should point you in the right direction to the issue.
