effecting the development of arbor

What do you think is effecting the arboriculture at this time apart from just the credit crunch e.g work, banks anything like that.

What is getting in the way of arboriculture from moving on if anything or what is helping arboriculture move on and pushing it forword

also explain to me why is it having this effect and how is it

The reason why i am asking is that i am trying to put a little power point on the good things and the bad things effecting arboriculture in this day and age.

Thanks guys

Your question makes it sound like you want the assignment done for you. Directly answering the questions you posed would defeat the objective of learning but here are a few pointers.

External functions on arboriculture (not a comprehensive list)

HSE – contract research - industry best practice-

Trade bodies

Market forces –access to credit-budget restrictions-

Statute legislation –LOLER-VOSA-WAH regs-

Case law –Judgements-

British standards -BS3998 is under review-

Improved materials and equipment –climbing techniques and practices-

Have a look at upcoming industry consultations, the AA is reviewing the approved contractor scheme.

Google is your friend, the material you need is out there, get back to me if you cant find it.

Grants, equment costs working what's the good things about it all and. What's the bad things about it. I Think I am going to try and Focus it maninly on grants on how its helped people out and. what they have done with the money If they think its good idea That there are grants out there. or people are just abusing it to try and just get the money and not really putting it back in to there business Need to try and come up with 5 different questions such as

Did you ever receive a grant and how was it used?

Who did you receive the grant off?

Did you ever have to pay the grant back or help out in anyway?

Thats all i can think of

God almighty thats a BIG question!

Theres a lot of things holding it back, or at least slowing its development, especialy the research side of things, and the holding on to information, resources, and facilities by those afraid of competition.

Theres no prestige or money in arb, so only the truly passionate get into a place to advance it, and who really cares about trees bar us arbs? no one in my experiance so far!
