4wd tippers? Which is best?

Land Rover will be best off road and take the inevitable knocks more gracefully, also being plated to 3.5t should carry more, 3.5t towing capacity is always handy too

 

Will also cost a small fortune to buy and maintain.

Have you calculated how much the larger box will carry? (bearing in mind you can never completely fill it up)

 

 

Have a double cab currently so a single or space cab will allow a longer box and better placed over the axle.

I have a l200 tipper and I'm glad I went for it.! For any bigger jobs I have a mate bring his transit, anything off-road don't bother with a transit

I think if you really need 4 wheel drive and tipping a tipping trailer is the best way to go legally. I've always though 4x4 tippers were a bit of a fad.

I already have a trailer, it doesn't tip but does everything I need it to except when I need the chipper aswell. Can't tow both

My hilux holds double than my original one with greedy boards and I have upgraded the springs to a 7 leaf, I paid around 12k for my truck and tipper conversion after 4 years it's still worth around 9-10k how many chip trucks hold there value like that [emoji6]

Yeah my chip box hold just under 4cube of chip

So how long is the back?

Don't know off the top of my head and to dark to have a measure up. But I went for a tipping 4x4 as most of my work requires it horses for courses

It's roughly 140x140x120cm

 

But with a single cab, chip box that's higher and with a flat floor there's got to be more room in than mine
