How often do you wash?

I have a pair of Stretch Airs.

 

Every time I take them off and leave them around, our lass grabs them and sticks them in the wash.

 

I must be one of the most well presented Tree Surgeons in the area.

 

How often should / do you wash your climbing trousers and are they designed to cope with such frequent washes.

 

More over is the washing mashine able to cope.

 

I was going to post this thread under Large Equipment, because my chainsaw trousers protect my large equipment, but our lass told me otherwise.

i wash my trousers every week mate and they still seem to be ok.

Every few months in the winter,as i wear longjohns under them,and have several pairs so let them air between the times i wear them.

 

More often in the summer.

about once a week, usually. Washing machine doesnt seem to have a problem, just make sure the sawdust is shaken out 1st! Oh and do up all the zips and buttons, it'll save scratching the glass on the door!

I'm about a once a week guy as well except when i'm particularly minging (normally due to my swamp infested yard at the mo). Mrs also makes me take them off by the front door so i dont bring any crap in!

I've just been reliably informed by my good lady that you must not wash with fabric conditioner apparently it damages the integrity of the trousers. Dont take the p*$$ its my mrs words not mine!:wave:

It's true about the conditioner, we wash ours once week.Also wash at low temp depending on trousers my first pair Stihl shrunk.

I wash mine once a week then iron a nice stiff crease down the front of each leg.

mine get washed once a week normally depends on how much work ive done though.
