Does anyone have the Honey Brothers PintoRig Loopie and what are your opinions on it for light/medium rigging?

That looks really handy.

 

The only thing that would put me off is that it doesn't look like it would take a 14mm line with a splice through the pulley, and obviously isn't midline attachable.

I'm way too lazy to have to feed the blank end of a 50m line through for every set up.

Anyone?

Does look like a handy set up.

Even for blocking down, it would take pieces of 350kg. (Unlikely anyone would use this set up for that, but it shows what it is capable of). [emoji106]

I really don't think I'd fancy snatching a 350 kg piece on a pinto. Thats a big old force that would be put on it.

 

From reading your posts etc i know you know this but it wouldnt be great for a newbie to rigging to think its a good move.

Nor me in all honesty.... but calculating the safety factors on the weakest link of the system for negative rigging. That's what it gives you..

I'm NOT saying I recommend anyone taking their gear to the limit, taking into account cycles to failure etc..

I was merely making the the point that it's a capable little system.
