so impulsively bought one of these last night, its my first grinder so wanted to see if theres demand for it, figured at that price with a kohler engine cant be bad, if not should pay for its self at least. anyway once the teeth are shot im thinking of replacing the wheel to fit green teeth, anyone had any experience with this?59767281cb442_Screenshot2017-02-11at11_23_13.png.471faf26e63394713e6a2a5f10e17af3.png

I put green teeth on my Rayco SG13 (very similar to your grinder) and they are really good.

Just make sure you chose a set up that fits insde the wheel housing.

Easy to sharpen and quick to turn when in use.

cool man, thats good to know others have had some success with it, ive heard replacement teeth on these a pretty pricey hence my thinking, im actually wondering if i can get a larger guard to house a slightly bigger wheel, possibly somthing of this size, figured the camon has a smaller engine and seems to be ok with it.

Following as I've got the US praxis & like the look of the green teeth.

How much heavier will the bigger wheel be, thinking centrifugal forces & strain on the belts?

If the v belts are twin belts with a 13mm width they should be fine, they are used on some of the bigger machines like the 25hp predators so its really the safety issue of a bigger guard, it may be fine but it will not be CE approved - I'm all for a mod that works safely.

good point, didnt know if there would be a puwer issue somewhere, but surely providing there is a guard it should still meet all requirements? i just took the flaps off the back of my jensen 530 hopper doing my nut haha, thought well thats what a visor is for right?

You can get them online, wheel is welded to shaft so you need to replace whole lot, was quoted £500 for wheel, pockets and teeth (4pairs).

thats good to know though, save me stripping it down to find that out, so thanks. thats not bad thinking long term, even with an additional 500 bucks, -120 for original set of teeth thats £380 for a mod thats going to be more efficient and cost effective in every way.
