Metsa my friend . Wonderful place you live in . How many months of the year can you safely use the ice road ?

 

Thank You, not many... min. couple weeks and max maybe 2 - 3 months.. here is been very warm winters lately.. last winter this road was open only less than one month..

Metsa, is that Finland? How thick does the ice have to be to drive a car over it? and do you do ice hole fishing? if so what species are in the lakes?

Yes it is Finland, I think this ice is now 40 cm thick and it is quite safe to drive on passenger car.

I am not fisherman my self but peoples do ice fishing.. they normally get perches, cyprinids and pikes..

Hei for You too, Yes I am in Finland and temperature really sail up and down constantly..
