Working in close proximity to court

Hi all was setting up road side this morning for some work to the rear of a property which is next door to a magistrates court when the security guard came and started quizing me.

 

Asking me what i was up to, i explained. Then he said that i could not work as it would make to much noise.

 

I said i will start and if its too much then i will stop.

 

Luckily it was fine but it did pass through my mind is there a law actually stopping me?

 

I remained polite and friendly after he came over a bit funny in the first place but the chap seemed decent enough

No idea tbh,

but if the judge decided that you were interrupting the court (if you were actually in court), I think you'd be in contempt if you carried on.

 

Whether that applies outside of the court, I don't know.

Really good one and not a clue . I shouldn't imagine really they can stop you but really wouldn't want to try it out .

I once new a guy who turned up with a team to do a large take down to find a film crew set up in the neighbouring property . Started work and was asked to stop by said film crew . N The chap in question being quite savvy walked away with a very large wad of cash in his pocket and returned another day .

as the courts authourity doesnt stretch beyond the building, the security gaurd(wannabe plastic policeman) he would have been told to go forth and sub divide, like the lower liferorm he was
