More kindling questions for the clueless

Having never produced kindling before i am considering processing our softwood, we hardly ever sell any softwood and seem to throw tons of it on the bonfire pile! i am wanting to try and reduce the amount of waste and turn it into a product we can sell.

Is there a machine out there that can make kindling from rings? or is it all palletwood etc?

Is it labour intensive or a 1 man operation?

People always sell used cut offs from a carpenter or the like, i always cry when i see arbs etc shredding branches etc, i chop mine up and use / sell as kindling.

Stock pile get Jenkins in to chip sell them the chip get a cheque without lifting a finger

Pity your not nearer to me, if you are going to throw it out or burn it anyway I could make use of it keeping my house warm - saftwood wokrs as well as hardwood apart from the need to throw logs on the fire more often

we just completed the build of a kindling machine to use up some of the conifer that gets disposed of it comes off fairly stringy but I think this helps it catch alight conifer is good for it as it catches easy and burns hot and fast and its cheap
