I sold a hilux load of logs. The customer counted them and there was 340 logs. He had been buying them by the net from a garage. He was paying £5 for 12 logs. My load was £60. I dont think he has stopped smiling.

£60 is way to cheap buddy, you are doing yourself out of another £20/£30 really.

a bulk bag holds approx 220 logs depending on size, i sell them for £60, it is the equivelant of 20 small bags that hold 10 that i sell(3.50), loose you can squeeze more in. so they are saving with me £10 and getting 2 small bags worth free. It takes my lad about an hour to handfill 20 small bags, and about 10 minutes to fill a bulk bag, so i would rather do the bulk bagfs any day, but the good thing with the wee bags is they are easy to handle and can be put in a normal van easily. The older folk and ladies certainlt prefer the smaller bags.:001_smile:

nice one mate, i am still just selling my own stock just now as i havent had that big a demand for them, loads of folk are doing them around my way, and no one is over £4 a bag, they are all doing it on the side or retired. do you still have 1000bags of softwood??

They have all sold, to be honest i dont think im going to sell the softwood anymore. I am going tostick with hardwood people are alot happier with it.

We are down to our last 400 nets...looks like the hardwork is going to start again processing out in the cold shed

there is a few doing it near to me but they are selling nets similar to mine for £2.20 needless to say people went once and came stright back to me. most of the nets were freshly cut conifer.
