my mate who was in almost exactly the same circumstances as i will be when i pass has got one and he paid £1300 to insure it, and its a 1.7, so hopefully i should be able to get it at around the same price

Joe,if you are on a budget dont bother with a van get a 2 door diesel car and colour code the side windows out with vinyl, get the back window sign written, fold the back seats forward and make a big box that goes in the back for carrying your gear, insure it as a car miles cheaper.
