Yes and no. If the ground is soft enough then the leverage can help. However if you have to start digging around them with a ripper then it's often best to have the stumps low to prevent ripping off any pipework.

 

Don't ask me how I know....

Saws? Different. Echo, Husqvarna, Stihl.
