Sounds just the same adam, think ill ask the stealer. Trouble is mines over six months old now.

I even put a shorter bar on mine to see if it was to do with length of bar/chain but with 20" its still the same, so must be the screw mechanism.

Have you adjusted the oiler screw??

Sure jonesie, all my saws are open full! Always seems to be a bit dry and sometimes heats up. Would just like a bit more really, something else to quiz the dealer about.......

Morris Croma 30. I get it from the same dealer that the saws come from.

Think i know what you might be getting at Bob- are you thinking i should use something thinner on the bigger bars?

Are you pulling 'out' on the bar at all as you're adjusting it? If it turns fine with no bar and chain on and then doesn't with it on the bar and chain must be getting hung up on something. I've run saws before with broken/missing adjusters. You use one bar wrench to 'pry' the bar out to the proper tension and then tigthen the bar nuts with the other, no biggie. Of course I wouldn't put up with that either on a new saw. Never had a problem myself with my 660 here in Canada.

Sure squisher, i get what you are saying but mine is just tooooo tight!

Any way its back at the dealers now, till friday. The stihl whizz in the workshop is going to have a look at it and also check the pump, so i`ll wait and see.
